My Experience


over ten years experience in script writing, producing, shooting, writing outlines, storyboards and handling projects like documentary films, fictions, Ad films, commercials and trailers, handled multi cam projects like Quiz programme, Comedy show also,  as a SCRIPT WRITER and as an ASSISTANT DIRECTOR.

As a Scriptwriter:
Fiction:
·         Marathi Feature Film ‘Trusha’
·         Tele-Screen adaptation of a story “VARDAAN KA PHER” written by Pt. Radhakrishnan.
·         Screenplay and dialogues for a 1-hour tele-film titled
“MERA BHARAT MAHAAN”.
·         Screenplay and dialogues for a Children film “PUNNU RAJA” (duration 2 hrs.) for M&M TV.
·          “Kuchh bhi ho sakta hai” a (Multi Cam Shot) comedy show for ETV Urdu(quiz programme)

Documentary films:
·         A documentary film on “TEA CULTIVATION IN HIMACHAL PRADESH” for Agricultural University of Palampur, Himachal Pradesh.

·         5 episodes of “THE MONUMENTS OF INDIA for Doordarshan channel

·         A documentary film (30-minutes) on the Parja tribes of Orissa titled “PARJA”
(Worked as an Assistant Director also).

  • A 30-minute comedy drama titled “SAB THEEK HAI”.
  • Script and songs for a music based program on Republic Day Celebrations.
  • Scripts and songs for a program on HOLI festival.

“Children of The Pyre” (as 1st Assistant Director)
A real-life self-narrative of seven children who make their living off the dead at Manikarnika, the busiest cremation ground in India.

A full length documentary film for Discovery Channel on the youngest boatman on Dal Lake, Kashmir
·         Nominated for the competition category at the International Documentary film festival Amsterdam.
·         Officially selected for screening- Palm Springs International film festival, US
·         Screened in Raindance Film Festival, London in Sep, 2006

“Vyaktitva aur Krititva: Mannu Bhandari” (as 1st Assistant Director)  
A full length documentary film based on a well known story writer Mannu Bhandari’s life.
(The film was directed by Pt. Arun Kaul renowned filmmaker and Script Writer, winner of National, Filmfare and other prestigious awards)

“Foreign Travellers in Kashmir(as 1st Assistant Director)
A 5-episode documentary series titled

  • A series of four documentary films (15-mins. each) for J&K Tourism titled Spiritual Tourism, Adventure Sports, Seasons and Trekkers Paradise.

Fictions: (as 1st Assistant Director)
ANANT DHUAN” a fiction of 3-episodes for Doordarshan Channel based on a National Award winning Assamese story.

“NAYE UFAK KI TALAASH” a fiction of 10-Episodes for  DD-Kashir

“KEHWAT” A 5-episode of a (Multi Cam Shot) quiz program for    DD-Kashir

CHEHRE PE CHEHRA”  a serial for DD-Metro

Others:
I have given my voice for a Punjabi documentary film ”Jama Masjid” for DD-Jalandhar and two documentary films based on monuments of india.

Right now I am working as a creative director and script writer with The Elements, a company which is actively working in the field of documentary film making.
